The Puffin Class 2025 - 2026
A very big welcome to the Year Two Puffin class and their parents. Mrs Murray, Mrs Atkinson and I are really pleased to welcome you all to our class page. We are looking forward to working with the children over the next year and encouraging them to let their lights shine brightly.
Just some information for Parents and Carers:
- Reading books and Reading for Pleasure books will be changed every Monday. Your child will have a book of their choice to read either on their own or with a grown up, and a 'learning to read' book. We would love for your child to read at least three times per week at home, preferably more! Please do encourage your child to read their ‘learning to read book’ to you, as much as possible. The more practise a child gets, the more confident a reader they become.
- Please could children have a water bottle, hat and coat in school every day, even if it is sunny!
- PE is on a Wednesday and a Friday so please ensure that your child has suitable kit in school. If your child has long hair, please ensure that it is tied up, and that any earrings are covered or removed.
For the children:
Welcome to your class, we hope that you enjoy being part of the Puffin family. Don't forget to always try and let your light shine, don't be afraid to make mistakes as this is how we can learn. Also, make sure that you are always having fun.
