Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

This week, Badgers have been learning all about different families. We enjoyed looking at everyone's photos from home, and the children did a great job at describing the different members of their family. 

The children visited church again this week as we attended a whole school welcome service.  Badgers enjoyed singing along to the songs!

In Music, we are learning a song called 'I've got a grumpy face', in which we explore different facial expressions and moving body parts in different ways. We are starting to add our own new verses to the song, we've had some great ideas from the children!

We have been sorting objects into different sets and comparing amounts in our maths lessons, I wonder if the Badgers at home can sort some objects into different sets? Blue or red? Which group has more?

As we continue our phonics sessions, we have introduced the letters g,o,c and k this week. The children have also been putting their phonic knowledge to practise as we have started our reading sessions this week!

We are starting to collect autumn objects for classroom activities over the next few weeks. If you are out this weekend, we would appreciate it if you could go collecting and send some in next week.
