Bumblebee News 4 October 2024 (by schoollogin) |
This week the children in The Hive have loved 'Row Row Row Your Boat' and enjoyed listening to the sounds associated with the nursery rhyme - especially the screaming and crocodile snapping! Our phonics learning next week will continue to be focused on 'Row Row Row Your Boat.' Just a reminder that parents are able to access the rhyme on
https://www.littlewandlelettersandsounds.org.uk/resources/for-parents/#tabnametabNurseryRhymesVideos and this would really help to support your child's learning. All children now have a 'Reading for Pleasure Book' to bring home, these will be changed on a Monday, it would be really helpful if you could read the book to your child three times over the week (and make a note in the reading record when you have done so)
We have enjoyed a music box activity this week (including playing on the glockenspiels!) and some multi sensory work we have explored in The Nest.
We have been pouring rice from different containers as part of our Physical Development, as well as our PE lesson which is always enjoyed by everyone! The rice pouring activity has happened both inside and outside - outside was much less messy than inside!
We have all been to the school library and looked at all of the books we have in there (you will be able to see some of the photos on Tapestry.)
Our art work is now on display in All Saint's Church, details of when you can visit are in this week's Newsletter.
If you and your child are completing the autumn leaf activity sent home for The Limes Care Home please return the leaves by the end of next week.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Lee and The Hive Team.
