Badgers Class14 November 2024 (by schoollogin) |
This week, we had some special visitors in to teach us all about germs and the importance of washing our hands. The children were shocked to see how far germs can travel if we don't catch them!
We have continued learning nursery rhymes this week including: Humpty Dumpty, Mary had a Little Lamb, Three Blind Mice and Hey Diddle Diddle.
In Maths, we have started a new topic looking closely at the composition of numbers 4 and 5.
In P.E, we focused on spatial awareness this week. We used hoops as cars and made sure we were very careful not to bump into another car!
In Phonics, our new sounds this week are v, w, x, y. The children are making great progress with their blending. Just to remind you, it is Badgers phonics themed stay and play next Thursday (21st). Please enter via the main entrance just before 2pm and Mrs. Chapman will come to walk you down to the classroom.
The children have started to practise songs for the Nativity! It is never too early, and they are very excited for the big performance. As we approach Christmas, there are lots of events taking place in school. Please make sure you check the most current newsletter as all the diary dates are listed on there.
Please feel free to talk to us if you ever have any questions.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Corrigan and Mrs. Chapman
