Bumblebee Class22 November 2024 (by schoollogin) |
We have really enjoyed a frosty, snowy week here in The Hive.
The children have loved exploring the snow and ice this week, especially investigating the cubes which were frozen in side blocks of ice. We all made sure we got wrapped up nice and warm. Please ensure you send your child with hats, scarves and gloves if possible as we do go outside in all types of weathers.
If you could see our classroom during our Wiggle Me in to a Squiggle you would have seen lots of curling in to a ball and exploding to Firework music and the children have done really well replicating some of the movements.
The children have used the colour green to complete some art work and looked at how they can use different objects to create different marks on the page as some of you will see from the paintings that come home.
We have been looking at the emotions 'happy' and 'sad' on a 1:1 basis, using paper plates to support our learning.
Hickory Dickory Dock remains our Nursery rhyme for next week and we have been looking at the letter 's' The children really like us to sing The Bertha The Bus Song where Bertha goes to the zoo and we sing about what she sees as she goes through the zoo.
We have had a little move round with furniture in the classroom and have made a bigger home corner, if you have any spare things for our home corner at home we would appreciate donations of small pans, wooden spoons, small plastic jugs etc please.
We are all very excited about our upcoming school trip to Elmswell Farm, if you have any questions please catch one of the members of The Hive staff or contact us via the main school office and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Have a lovely weekend and don't forget to upload things on Tapestry if you want to share them with us.
