Here we are at the end of another week!
For the next week, we will continue to enjoy the nursery rhyme "Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-Cake." Reinforcing this song is a great way to enhance the children’s engagement and support their language development. The song can be accessed at home on the Little Wandle website. https://www.littlewandlelettersandsounds.org.uk/resources/for-parents/
This week we have taken advantage of the weather and spent time outdoors. The children have thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped up warm while exploring the water play outside. Mrs Denham has also made some playdough, which the children have been exploring with a variety of tools, enhancing their fine motor skills and more sensory play has included shaving foam, which has sparked excitement and curiosity among the children!
In our Creative Arts learning, we have reintroduced musical instruments, and the rainmaker has captivated some of the children’s interest as well as the maracas! This opportunity allows them to freely express themselves musically!
As usual, we utilised 'The Nest' for some focused one-to-one work with children, addressing individual targets set by the Speech and Language Therapists (SALT). Thank you to those parents who have submitted the Motivator checklists sent out via email. If you have not yet done so, please return the checklist when you can these are incredibly beneficial for tailoring your child's learning journey.
Orange has been the colour of the week, and we engaged in activities that involved identifying and discussing objects that are typically orange.
As we look forward to another week ahead, please feel free to update Tapestry with any experiences or activities your child has been enjoying at home. Your contributions are invaluable to our collaborative approach in supporting your child’s development.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend - Mrs Lee and The Team.
