Bumblebee News7 February 2025 (by schoollogin) |
This week, we have been immersing ourselves in the vibrant colour pink which the children have enjoyed. As we are quickly working our way through the colours I am excited to share that next week we will be delving into all things.......grey. This will allow us to explore the different shades of grey while also considering texture.
We are also looking forward to introducing our next Nursery Rhyme: ‘1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive’. Paper copies will be sent home for you to enjoy with your children, and as always, these can be downloaded from Little Wandle.
A big thank you to our Year Two students for their wonderful organisation of the Swap Shop as part of their Social Action Project. The Bumblebee children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the various offerings, and it was a delightful experience for all and they were all able to choose something to take home.
We appreciate your continued engagement with Tapestry. Your insights into the activities your children are involved in at home are invaluable and help us to understand their preferences better. The motivator checklists you have shared regarding musical likes have been particularly helpful!
To further enhance the children's learning, we would love to gather some information about your child's family members (or important friends). We kindly ask you to send us some names and photos of key people in your child’s life, which we will use to support their learning and emotional development at school. Information such as ages, birthdays, likes and dislikes would also be really helpful. i.e this is Macie my sister, she is 7 and she loves to go horse riding, she lives in my house and we share a bedroom, we really enjoy looking at books together. These can be sent to the school email address or sent as paper copies or uploaded via Tapestry.
In keeping with our school's two-week project on Environmentalism next week we will be making bird feeders out of apples and seeds. This initiative aims to encourage wildlife into our school grounds, and we hope the children will take great joy in this creative activity.
As we approach half term, we have plenty to look forward to next half term, including Sensory Sessions at the Methodist Church, visits to Driffield Library, and some exciting trips into town for shopping.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend ahead - Mrs Lee and The Hive Team.
