Our Visit to The Deep

What an exciting last week of term it has been for the Hedgehogs!

On Tuesday we went off to The Deep in Hull. The children absolutely loved being able to see the sea creatures we have been learning about up close. We saw penguins, sharks, starfish, jellyfish and many others varieties of sea creatures. We enjoyed a wonderful workshop all about how rubbish in the sea can harm the creatures which live there. The children also learnt about recycling different materials and what this means. I hope your child had a wonderful time and has told you all about it.

Yesterday was our environmentalism exhibition. It was lovely to see so many of you in school to see all the children's hard work and to share the message of plastic pollution with you. We hope you enjoyed the children's film and the important message behind it. The children have really enjoyed learning about how their actions can affect the world around them.

Today is the last day of this half term and the children can have a well earned rest next week. We return to school on Monday 24th February, when we will start our new topic, 'Around the Town.'
