Badgers Class8 March 2025 (by schoollogin) |
Thank you to all the parents who came to celebrate World Book Day with us. The children enjoyed learning to rap to a section of the story 'Little Rabbit Foo Foo' by Michael Rosen.
Thank you for all of the amazing 'goonies' that came to school- very creative! Huge well done to Maisie our winner, and Lena our runner up.
In Maths, we have been learning about the numbers 9 and 10 and identifying these numbers in our environment. As you walk around this weekend- whether it is at home or outside- can the children find the number 9? 10? You could play a game of i spy with numbers!
We have continued looking at maps and created our own map recalling the story of Rosie's Walk.
Just a reminder- Parent Consultation Meetings are coming up, the children received letters in their book bags at the start of the week. Please can we have all responses back to school by Monday (10th). We will allocate slots and you will get a letter with the time of your allocated 10 minute slot next week in your child's book bag, please look out for this.
Next week is Science Week! We have many different 'awe and wonder' experiments planned. We will also have a special visitor coming into our classroom on Thursday... Mrs Chapman's lamb! The children will learn about how lambs grow and change, and this will be linked to the upcoming transition into Spring. Over the weekend, have a look for signs of Spring around your local area. Can you spot any daffodils? How many daffodils can you see?
Have a great weekend in the sunshine!
