Starfish class4 April 2025 (by schoollogin) |
weekly round up
Wow!!! Where did that term go? We have packed so much in since January from learning about life on a Scottish island with Katie Morag through to clasifying animals, Van Gogh seascapes and street dancing.
We will be starting next term with the wonderful book "The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch" a great story about pesky seagulls and stolen lunches.
Maths will be multiplication and division - so we will start by counting in 2's, 5's and 10's, then making equal groups and sharing.
Science will all be about growing plants, knowing what plants need to stay healthy and naming common plants and trees. So if you are out and about during the holidays have a practise!
Phonics is all about revision so we will be the ai sound with ay (play, stay, crayon) and a-e (make, game, amaze) and also ee sound with ea (bead, treat, least) and e (secret, fever, we) .
The forecast is looking good, so enjoy the sunshine, eat too much chocolate and have a welcome break.
Happy Easter - from the Starfish team.
